Measures implemented within the hotel to prevent the spread of COVID-19

During these entirely exceptional times, caused by the COVID-19 epidemics, we want to inform our guests upon the measures implemented by the hotel management to protect the safety of both our guests and our employees.
Because we want to be fully transparent towards our guests, we are going to present in detail the measures we have implemented to make sure you enjoy a pleasant and safe stay in our hotel. We kindly inform our guests that all these rules and measures, even the restriction of certain services, have been implemented to further protect the guests’ and employees’ safety and, as things are going to get back to normal, we will gradually provide all the services “Cismigiu” Hotel offered to its guests with the passion and devotion specific to the hospitality industry we are proud to be a part of.

Public spaces
  • We have established separate hotel entry and exit routes
     
  • We have marked the floors with social distancing tapes
     
  • We have installed Plexiglas screens at the reception desk to limit the guests’ interaction with the receptionist
     
  • We have installed hand sanitizer dispensers in all public areas of the hotel and on all floors
     
  • We have placed shoe sanitizer mats at the hotel entrance and on each floor
     
  • The hotel entrance door will be kept open to permanently ventilate the reception desk area and thus make sure the guests will not have to touch door handles
     
  • The furniture in the lobby area has been adapted for social distancing purposes
     
  • Access to the gym is temporarily prohibited.
     
  • Use of the elevators is also restricted to only one person or no more than two if they travel together
     
  • Public areas are frequently sanitized, depending on the occupancy level and on the hotel traffic, at least every 3 hours
     
  • We only use authorized products, provided by our key supplier, ECOLAB for the cleaning of the public areas and hotel rooms
     
  • Our personnel frequently and carefully sanitizes all frequent contact points in the public areas, such as: door handles, elevator buttons, ATM, POS terminals and the equipment at the reception desk are sanitized after each use; the switches, tables, and armchairs in the lobby, the public toilets on the 1st floor, the staircase handrail.
     
  • The air in all public areas is permanently ventilated
     
  • Special entrance routes have been designed for hotel employees, they are trained, they wear protective equipment and they shall limit the interaction with the hotel guests as much as possible
     
  • According to the rules in force, we will take the employees’ body temperature before allowing them to enter the hotel
  • The business corner at the reception desk where the guests had access to public PC is temporarily closed

Hotel apartments
  • We have updated the apartment cleaning procedure according to the new rules and recommendations of our supplier ECOLAB
     
  •  The housekeeping personnel has been rigorously trained on the cleaning and sanitizing of the rooms under the current circumstances
     
  • Housekeeping personnel is equipped with safety masks, visors, single-use gloves, and gowns;
     
  • The cleaning only takes place when the guests are not in the room, to limit the guests’ contact with the hotel personnel as much as possible;
     
  • The bed linings and the towels will only be changed during the stay upon the guests’ request, and the room maid will carefully collect the linings and the towels and place them in special bags, which will only be opened in the dedicated lining sorting area
     
  • All advertising materials have been removed from the rooms and the menus have been replaced with plasticized ones that can be sanitized after the departure of each guest
     
  • The pens, postcards, and notepads from all the apartments have been removed
     
  • We have reduced the number of hangers in the apartment
     
  • The minibar is still available in the rooms, all products will be sanitized after each stay
     
  • Breakfast will be served as a takeaway, based on a preset diversified menu. Guests will inform the reception desk in the evening on the hour they wish to have breakfast at, and it will be delivered at the room door, in takeaway packaging, with single-use cutlery
     
  • The room brief will be sanitized after each stay. This operation can be easily carried out, considering that the pages are plasticized
     
  • The pillows and bedspreads have been removed from each apartment
     
  • The extra pillows and duvets have been removed from each apartment, and they are only available on request
     
  • The coverlets are washed after each stay
Hotel apartments
  • All the remote controllers in the apartment will be sanitized and then wrapped and sealed so that the guest can rest assured that the item has not been directly touched by anyone after being sanitized
     
  • The following shall be carefully sanitized after each apartment stay: the safe, all the switches in the apartment, the taps, the door and window handles, the handsets, the coffee tables and the tables, the chairs and the kitchen furniture, all sanitary ware
     
  • We have removed the ceramic dishes and the glassware in all the apartments and replaced them with sealed single-use glasses
     
  • Cooking kits and dishes can be provided to the guests upon request, at the reception desk
     
  • All coffee and tea machines have been removed from the apartments
     
  • A complimentary water bottle will be available in each apartment
     
  • The bathrooms will be equipped with soap/shampoo dispensers, hair balm, body lotion and they will be carefully sanitized after each use of the apartment; the other amenities will be available upon request; you can ask for them at the reception desk
     
  • Hand sanitizer napkin sets will be available in each apartment and the guest can use them to clean the items in the room or the personal belongings
     
  • After checkout, each apartment is cleaned and sanitized and it will only be available for the following guest 72 hours after the checkout, thus eliminating cross-contamination
     
  • Cleaning cloths and mops are replaced after each apartment cleaning. They are collected in sealed bags, to be disinfected and washed at temperatures above 70°C at the end of the day
     
  • Each room maid carriage is carefully sanitized at the end of their shift
     
  • The technical department personnel can only enter a room in the absence of the guest.
     
  • The technical personnel will wear protective equipment at all times: mask, gloves, and visor.
     
  • The laundry service is currently unavailable to limit the personnel’s contact with the guests’ clothing
Hotel personnel
  • All hotel personnel is trained on the measures to prevent the spreading of COVID-19 and we permanently make sure that the personnel abides by the personal hygiene and social distancing rules to prevent the contamination with the new virus, both when in the hotel and during their free time
     
  • The reception desk personnel and the room maids are trained to take measures in case one of the guests or hotel employees might be contaminated with the new virus
     
  • Our reception desk personnel is permanently informed and able to provide the guests with official and updated information on the travels to and from COVID-19-affected countries, by periodically accessing the website of the National Public Health Institute – www.insp.gov.ro
     
  • Our reception desk personnel will take the body temperature of each employee before allowing them to enter the hotel
     
  • The check-in and check-out procedure has been revisited, so as to limit our reception desk personnel’s contact with the guests: the guest individually inserts the identity document in the document scanner, the guest will keep the pen used to sign the registration sheet, we encourage guests to make card payments, we have installed Plexiglas screens for enhanced safety, we limit the exchange of documents between the receptionist and the guest as much as possible, the room keys will be sanitized in the guest’s presence when handed over, the guest will place the room keys in a special container available on the reception desk;
     
  • All guests will be encouraged to sanitize their hands after their interaction with the reception desk personnel
     
  • The reception desk, housekeeping and technical department employees who interact with the guests must change into their uniforms when reaching the hotel and only use indoor footwear during their shift; the uniforms are sent to the laundry unit at the end of each shift
     
  • The employees enter the hotel through a designated area, different from that of the guests, and they shall head directly to the locker rooms to change into their uniforms. They will use the service elevator, specially designated for the hotel staff
     
  • The room maids and the technical department employees will only use the service elevator to travel in-between floors
Hotel guests
  • The guests are kindly asked to sanitize their hands upon entering and exiting the hotel, before and after accessing the elevator, using the sanitizer dispensers available in the public areas of the hotel
     
  • To use the sanitizing mats made available at the hotel entrance to disinfect their shoes
     
  • To wear a safety mask inside the hotel; in case they do not have a mask, they can ask for one at the hotel’s reception desk
     
  • To use the elevator one person at a time
     
  • To observe the floor indications and markings in the reception area: social distancing, hotel entry, and exit routes
     
  • To use their own pen to sign the documents or to keep the pen offered at the reception desk of the hotel
     
  • Not to leave promotional materials or personal belongings in the hotel lobby (coffee tables or armchairs)
     
  • To use the dedicated garbage bin, specifically marked for potentially contaminating materials, in case they desire to throw away the used protection equipment (masks, gloves, single-use gowns); this garbage bin is available in the reception desk area
     
  • To place the room cards in the dedicated container available on the reception desk
     
  • Not to move the furniture in the lobby, which was specifically placed to make sure the social distance is maintained
     
  • In the case of technical failures in the room, requiring the intervention of the technical department team, we kindly ask the guests to leave the room while the hotel personnel is there to remedy the fault
     
  • Please make sure you IMMEDIATELY inform the hotel reception desk in case of fever or if you have the symptoms specific to the infection with the new virus and strictly observe the indications of the reception desk personnel and hotel management up to the arrival of the medical team
